"salisbury" Patties

"A quick and easy recipe for ground beef instead of hamburgers. Not sure where I got this recipe, have had it for ever. I have added the recipe for Creamy Gravy Mix to the Directions. The patties can be served without the "Gravy" but is oh so good "Smothered" and served with Tossed Salad."

  • Combine all ingredients and form into patties.
  • Brown under medium Broiler flame for about 10 minutes, turning once, or cook in a hot skillet, turning frequently. (Broiling will make slightly patties less "fat".).
  • In medium mixing bowl combine powdered milk, flour, and salt. Cut in butter.
  • until crumbly.
  • In saucepan, combine 1/2 cup Creamy Gravy Mix to make Medium White Sauce to which additional finely chopped browned onions have been added.
  • NOTE: Creamy Gravy Mix
  • Recipe Makes 3 cups of mix, uses only 1/2 cup).
  • 1 1/3 cup Non Fat Dry Milk Powder.
  • 3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour.
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1/2 cup Butter (I use Brummel and Brown yogurt butter).
  • Serve Salisbury Patties topped with Creamy Gravy, sprinkled with optional Parsley.
