This was one of the first recipes I learned to make when I started cooking. These are so delicious! Anywhere you take them, they are guaranteed to go quick. You don't need any additional liquid, just mix the baking mix and raw sausage together. Don't freak out!... the sausage will be fully cooked. To make clean up easier, I put the broken up, raw sausage in a gallon ziplock bag, dump in the baking mix and seal, leaving a little bit of air inside. Then I knead it until the mix is completely absorbed into the meat, then I repeat the same process for the cheese. Don't over bake them, they should be browning right around 15 minutes unless you made really big balls. You can always use different cheeses (strong flavored cheeses work best) and different types of sausage.

These are really great tasting sausage balls and would be wonderful for any occasion. I did add all the ingredients together and try to combine them but it needed a liquid. Followed the recipe on the baking mix box and added 1/2 cup more mix and 2/3 cup milk. This did the trick and I was able to work with the sausage mixture. Didnt spray my baking dish with cooking spray but will do that next time. Also damp hands help roll the sausage mixture into balls easier. Also baked these for 30 minutes to have the sausage well cooked.

DELICIOUS! I added some black pepper. German exchange student ate pretty much the entire batch. I had also run out of bisquick so I mixed my own.. I don't know if that had anything to do with it but it was great. Also, I used a cut out from a brown paper bag on the bottom of the pan instead of foil to soak up any excess oils.
