  1. This one is in Charlotte's book too. Glad I didn't have to retype! Her version calls for 10 oz cheddar cheese, grated, but doesn't suggest freezing. It specifies 20-30 minutes in a regular 350* oven.

  2. Tasted great but 3 cups of bisquick was a bit much. Next time I will add less bisquick to the sauseage. I will also let the shreeded cheese sit ou to soften before adding it. Other than that great recipe thnks for posting!

  3. Mine were a little larger in size, and I added a teaspoon or so of dried rosemary to the mix. Tasted great, the next time I may add a little dried dill to see how it changes the flavor. The 3 cups of bisquick adds more texture, I could have added more cheese, 10oz was barely enough, but we like cheese.

  4. Ok, here's the deal. We southern folks know this recipe by heart. For one pound of sausage, you really have to use only 1 1/2 c bisquick. OR double the cheese and sausage quantities. ;) Hope that helps someone!

  5. This recipe is a family favorite. We have it in the Panama City, FL Bay Leaves cookbook (also a family fav). Beats the Bisquick box recipe everytime!
