Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 lbs sirloin steaks, preferably aberdeen angus
  • 12 ounce butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Scotch whisky (or whisky liqueur such as Drambuie)
  • 5 tablespoons double cream (heavy whipping cream)
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Cut the beef up into thin strips.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium frying pan.
  3. Add the beef strips and onion and cook for 5-10 minutes, until the beef is brown and cooked to taste.
  4. Stir in the liqueur and cream.
  5. Heat gently to reduce liquid slightly.
  6. Serve at once with vegetables.
