  1. This was nice, but we felt it lacked something. Tried adding parmesan, but it wasn't that. On the plus side it was very quick and easy to make (I bought shelled, de-veined shrimp) and uses few ingredients, all of which are readily available. As made today we'd give it a 3, but I don't think it would take much to elevate it from good to great. Next time I'll try adding Italian mixed herbs and will post a rating.

  2. Wonderful recipe! It really is a shame that it has sat here for a whole year without anyone trying it. I have to tell you that people are just missing out because this is a great scampi recipe! Nice enough for special occasions, but easy enough for a weeknight. Thanks for posting!

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7. I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
