Simple Papaya Avocado Salad

"This recipe is from The Baby Cookbook--Karin Knight. I have been looking at recipes that I can make that I can blend part of it up for my 7 month old twins. My son LOVES avocados. Omit dressing for young children."

  1. For a simple salad, this was delicious! I added the green onions. Will definitely make it again

  2. I loved the beautiful colors in this salad. I served it over some lettuce as suggested. I agree with other reviewers that the addition of green onions and cilantro would be wonderful, and also....served with blackened or grilled fish, this could almost be a relish! Made for 123 Hits tag. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Delicious salad! The buttery avocado with the sweet papaya was very nice! I added some green onions and sprinkled Cilantro over. Excellent with blackened fish.

  4. What a great flavor combo !!! It was unique and the presentation was awesome. Loved it !!!

  5. This is a totally brilliant combination. It is pleasing to the eye and a delight to the palate. I used it as the base for lobster martinis, lining the martini glasses with bibb lettuce, mixing the papaya avocado salad with slivers of fennel and red onion. Everyone loved it--even eating the lettuce because of the salad traces which adhered to it. Fabulous!

Married mother of twins. I very seldom ever use recipes as they are written, always modifying and adjusting them. Many times I will take three or four different recipes and come up with a new recipe based on those. <img src="http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e347/Saturn6666/KiwiDutch/3chefstag1.jpg">
