I've made several Bisquick pie recipes, and I was excited to find a pizza one. It was very good, but it seemed a bit bland and after 40 minutes, the mix was only half solid. I think next time I will make in a pie pan so it's not as deep and maybe reduce to 1/2 mix and 1 cup milk as I do in my other recipes. Also, I plan to add seasoning to the meat (I added garlic salt on top of the sauce but the meat needed more flavor). Also, I put a little cheese on top and put it back in the oven to melt. It was good and has been added to my cookbook.

Very Simple, tastes good. As others I could really see adding in your favorite pizza toppings: onions, green peppers, pepperoni, mix in sausage with the beef, mushrooms, or whatever fancies you. Only thing was, I used Bisquick and I think the 1.5 cups of milk was a bit too much. it made the whole thing very milky, looked horrible, but still stated okay. Perhaps cut it down to 2/3 cup milk if using Bisquick?

After reading the previous reviews, I agreed with ellie2's comments that the recipe needed a few additions. As the recipe is written, I thought it was a good BASIC recipe to begin with. So I tweaked it to fit our tastes. I added a package of pepperoni, chopped canadian bacon, mushrooms, chopped onion, garlic and just a dash of salt. Since I added all these, I used 2 cans of pizza sauce. I also used a combination of mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. I omitted the biscuit mix crust (which I don't care for...just a personal preference) and served this with bread sticks and salad. This turned out to be a very yummy dish that the whole family really enjoyed.
