directions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add onion and sauté for 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another 2 minutes until onions are soften.
  • Add minced sausage and ground beef. Cook until browned, approximately 7 minutes. Drain oil.
  • In a large bowl, add marinara sauce, alfredo sauce and canned tomatoes and mix completely.
  • Add ground meat mixture to sauce. Add Italian Seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
  • In the slow cooker pan, pour a small amount of the sauce mixture along the bottom of the plan.
  • Layer the uncooked lasagna noodles across the bottom of the pan. You can make the noodles to adjust them to the size of your pan.
  • Spoon ricotta cheese across the lasagna noodles. Add a layer of grated cheeses. Add a layer of sauce mixture.
  • Repeat the layering process; lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, grated cheeses, sauce mixture.
  • For the top layer, proceed with this order: lasagna noodles, sauce mixture, grated cheeses and sliced mozzarella cheese.
  • Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until cheese on top is bubbly.

  1. Great way to make lasagna...not having to cook the noodles first. My entire family enjoyed it (all 3 of us). I used Hunt's traditional spaghetti sauce vs marinara, Kroger hot pepper cheese vs Monterey Jack and I used ground hot italian sausage where it sounds like you might have called for links. Anyway, thank you so much for posting this recipe.

  2. Made as posted, very good but just a little to much cheese flavor for my tastes.

  3. Was delicious!! 5 stars all the way... I halved the recipe and it still turned out and was done in two hours on High. The sausage is what really made the flavor wonderful and the alfredo. Thank you!

  4. This was very good!! Real Italian comfort food!! I never would have thought you could make lasagna in a crock pot, but I have made it twice since I found the recipe with great results each time. :) I do use regular basil and garlic flavored spaghetti sauce instead of marinara though. Thanks!!

  5. Super San Mateo Chefs, this one is a winner! We really really like the flavors.. I changed a few things and it still turned out fabulous. I did not use the 1/2 lb hot sausage, which is something I would normally use, but was not in the mood for yesterday. This time I used 1/2 lb ground beef, and 1/2 lb slice pepperoni. I used Ragu spaghetti sauce. Definitely used the alfredo sauce! Used all the cheeses, except monterey jack, instead I used sharp cheddar, and I also added fresh sliced mushrooms.. Also, it was done in 2 1/2 hours with crockpot set on high. I kinda like my lasagna to be nice and neat cut squares, thus I will not be using the crockpot next time.. my husband did not mind that it was sloppy. If I do make it in the crockpot next time, I will use a different noodle, so I won't feel as though it needs to be cut neat into squares... LOL! But i will definitely be using your recipie, because again, it really was good!
