Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
  2. Butter and flour a 9" springform pan.
  3. Beat the eggs with an electric mixer until thick and pale yellow.
  4. Gradually beat in the sugar.
  5. Mix the flour with the baking powder, salt and lemon zest.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Mix the lemon juice and vanilla with the heavy cream.
  8. Alternatly add the cream and flour mixtures to the eggs, beginning and ending with the flour.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes, or until the cake feels firm to the touch and a cake tester comes out clean Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove outer ring and cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Frost as desired.
