"Sweet and jammy. Recommend using a non-stick skillet. Prep time does not reflect marinating time."

  • Cut pork into thin slices. Combine Marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add pork. Marinate for 30 minutes, or overnight.
  • To cook, heat oil in a large non stick skillet (Note 4) over high heat. Add garlic and onion, cook for 2 minutes until translucent. Add pork and cook for 5 minutes or until dark golden and caramelized, and just cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with rice, garnished with sliced shallots and sesame seeds.

  1. We loved the flavor the marinade gave the pork. My pork shoulder was 1-1/2 lbs. and I wish that I had doubled the marinade to give us some extra yummy sauce to serve over the rice. I wasn't sure what to do with the pear, but I assumed it should be chopped, so I chopped it into 1/2" pieces. I marinated the pork about 8 hours and that seemed perfect. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe! **Made for Susie's World Tour 2019-Korea**

I HATE to see people join the site, have no published recipes, but rag on another cook in a review on a recipe they haven't even tried or didn't follow. Oh, and I hate cilantro, too. :)
