Steak Stroganoff for 2

- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 2 beef cube steaks
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup sour cream
- 1 (2 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces
directions
- In 8-inch skillet, cook and stir onion in 1 tablespoon oil until tender, about 4 minutes.
- Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Coat steaks with flour. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in same skillet; cook steaks over medium heat, about 4 minutes on each side.
- Sprinkle with salt.
- Place steaks on warm platter or dinner plates.
- Drain fat from skillet. Add onion, sour cream and mushrooms (with liquid) to skillet; heat, stirring ocassionally.
- Serve sauce on steaks.
- Good on hot buttered egg (2 cups dry) noodles with a dash of parsley flakes mixed inches.
