  1. Update: Stress has totally taken it's toll on my tummy lately. Rita to the rescue! This works so wonderfully. Feels like a warm hug from a dear friend! Thanks Rita! Original: 3/08 Really works well and fast! DD woke with a bug and I forced this down her as fast as I could. Really helped her with the stomach flu! Thanks Rita- from one Mama to another! Hugs!

  2. I'm surprised how good it was with all this ginger since it's so strong. I mixed a little with some orange juice (only 1/4 cup). I've been sick now for most of this month and I'm hoping this will help me to overcome all my ailments. Thanks for this recipe.

  3. A wonderful tea... I have been feeling realllllly blech! today (stomach flu???) and came across this recipe. OMG, this is a life saver! I did add a bit more honey and definitely included the ginger- due to it's awesome healing properties. This "tea" was really soothing and calming for my angry tummy. Thanks so much for sharing, Rita! I am about to make another cup before bed!

  5. My mum used to make us this a lot as kids. Not just for stomach aches but with extra honey when we had sore throats or colds. It works a treat.

Tweaks

  1. DH had a very upset tummy last night. I made this using ground ginger, which worked out fine. When I make it again I will use fresh lemon slices instead of lemon juice. DH said this was very comforting and did just the trick. This might be a great recipe for pregnant women who suffer from morning sickness. Ginger has a very soothing quality.
