  • In small saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, apple juice, cider vinegar and orange peel; blend well.
  • Cook over medium heat until it boils and thickens, stirring constantly.
  • Thread skewers with kielbasa, bell peppers, onions, and pineapples.
  • When ready to barbeque, place kabobs on preheated grill.
  • Cook 4 minutes.
  • Brush with glaze, turn and glaze again.
  • Cook 3-5 minutes or until hot and browned.
  • Serve with any remaining glaze.

  1. Great! Was afraid it would taste too much like the cider vinegar since that's all I could smell, but that didn't happen at all, was a big hit and will make again!
     
  2. With just small adjustments making the sauce this really becomes a 30-minute meal. My husband loved the flavors of pineapple, onion & sausage enhanced by the sweet & sour sauce.

Tweaks

  1. To simplify the glaze I started with unsweetened apple sauce added the vinegar, water & 1 tbsp brown sugar Splenda to lower the sugar in recipe. The sauce was more than sweet enough.
