  • Take cheese out of the refrigerator an hour ahead of time so that it may melt more evenly.
  • Preheat the oven to 350, preheat the iron skillet over medium heat.
  • Butter the outside of the bread, assemble sandwich with the basil in between the slices of cheese.
  • Add 1/3 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and cook to brown.
  • Lay the sandwich in the pan until it achieves a crusty brown side. About 1.5 minutes.
  • Flip and cook for additional 30 to 45 seconds.
  • Spread remaining butter the less brown side, and put in oven until cheese is melted as desired.
  • Remove and let sit before devouring.
  • Enjoy!
