ingredients

¹⁄₂ lb butter
1 cup water
³⁄₄ cup sugar
1 teaspoon allspice
1 tablespoon cinnamon
¹⁄₂ cup sultana raisin
¹⁄₂ cup golden raisin
¹⁄₂ cup currants
1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons molasses
1 cup flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda

directions

Completely line a 2 liter microwave bowl with plastic wrap, taking care to take out the wrinkles.
Combine first 9 ingredients in a microwaveable bowl and heat until butter has melted (can be done in a pot on the stove).
Add flour and baking soda and mix together, then add eggs and mix well.
Pour into plastic-wrapped bowl and and cook uncovered in the microwave for 9-10 minutes.
Allow to cool a few minutes, then invert bowl onto a plate. Serve with custard, caramel sauce, or butter,.
