  1. Boil breasts in water until tender. Remove, pick meat from bones and save broth. In large bowl, cut the shortening into the flour. Add buttermilk. Mix until like biscuit dough consistency. Roll out with floured pin. Bring broth to boil and drop in dumplings, one at a time and cook until done, 15 minutes. May add chicken meat back to broth at any time.
