  1. I added green onions and chopped red peppers to this recipe but it was a little too meaty for my taste. I will try this recipe again and tweak it maybe add more vegetables to the tuna mixture.

  2. I make a quesadilla very similar to this. Main difference is I mix the cheese into the tuna, and I blend the salsa and use it as a dip for the quesadilla.

  3. These were great!! I made one change - subbed in plain Greek yogurt for the mayo. Oh, and I cooked them with sliced onion in them because not much in our house gets by without onion!

  4. The recipe came together easily and quickly. I used a bit of enchilada sauce instead of salsa, to avoid a trip to the store at this time. I think I just don't like warm tuna much - tuna casserole was never served when I was growing up! Nothing wrong with the recipe, it just doesn't do much for me.

  5. Not a fan of mayo, in general, so I mixed the salsa & cheese and topped the tuna & everything held together well without the additional grease: very yummy. Just for my own taste, topped with sliced avo & a splash of Tabasco (r). next time, I'll add minced serranos or crushed red pepper to cheese so that every bite is spicy. nice adaptation of u.s. tuna melt
