Turkey/Chicken Tetrazzini

"Here's a great way to serve that holiday leftover turkey. Recipe came from Betty Crocker's Dinner in a Dish. It's another one of those great "comfort foods." We love it and hope you do too. Let me know what you think."

  1. I've been in search of a recipe for Chicken Tetrazzini that was easy and flavorful, and one that I could make with what I have in my kitchen. This is it! Made it last night and it was easy and absolutely delicious! The only alterations I made:: I omitted the mushrooms because I don't care for them, and I added buttered bread crumbs on top with the parmesan cheese. This recipe went into my "favorites" file - thank you, Judikins!

  2. I made a few changes due to personal preference --- added a little garlic, parsley and some capers. used non fat milk and blended with low fat cream cheese to thicken it up. Didn't have sherry, so used white wine. It was delicious! Thanks for sharing this!

  3. This tasted excellent and was easy to put together. No changes. The portions seemed a bit small, maybe more appropriate for 4 people than 6. I served this with a green salad with Recipe #168597.

  4. Very good ... I made a few changes due to personal preference --- added a little garlic, parsley and some capers. Didn't have whipping cream, so used 1% milk and blended in some whipped cream cheese to thicken it up. Didn't have sherry, so used a sweeter-type white wine. It was delicious! Thanks for sharing this!

  5. My husband and I sure did enjoy this recipe! Don't leave out the wine - it truly adds to this dish. Thank you for posting.

I'm a Midwesterner, turned Northwesterner for 30 years and finally a Southwesterner. I retired in 1995 and have had time to enjoy, even more, the things I love, like cooking and entertaining special people in our home--family and good friends. Fortunately, my husband enjoys cooking too (one pot meals), so he relieves me a few times a month.
