  • Sift flour over butter mixture and use a wooden spoon, stir to combine.
  • Place dough on a lightly floured surface and divide in half.
  • Using hands shape each half in a 30cm long log.
  • Wrap each log in baking paper, twirling ends to seal.
  • Freeze for 2 hours or until firm.

  • Remove paper from logs and slice into 1.5cm thick rounds.
  • Place rounds, 3cm apart on prepared trays.

  2. Such a fantastic recipe! Made a batch and they didn't stay in the freezer for long! Hubby loved them...maybe a little too much...will try the variations sometime too. Thank you so much for posting :)

  3. I opted for the plain cookies for a coworker who is fond of simple cookies to enjoy with his afternoon tea. These were easy to prepare and the cookie has a clean bright vanilla flavor and a crispy delicate texture. I often find slice and bake cookies to be on though side so i was happy that was not the case here. Thanks! Made for Newest Zaar Tag.

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
