  • In a Dutch oven, brown beef in oil; drain.
  • Add water, onion, celery, carrots, potatoes and bouillon.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Simmer for 25-30 Minutes or until veg, are tender.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Combine flour and water until smooth; add to beef mixture.
  • Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.

  2. Delicious, fast, foolproof, perfect winter comfort food. I served it with wide egg noodles, but skipped adding the flour/water slurry. Yum.
     
  3. A good basic place to start. As written, this recipe is way too bland for my tastes; however, once I seasoned it to my liking, I ended up with a nice stew. In addition to seasonings, I also added a small can of tomato sauce. I was happy with the final result, but I had to add to the recipe quite a bit to get there. I would say use this recipe as a great place to start, then add to it as you see fit.
     
  4. This was VERY good. My hubby loved it, and came up with a very good idea for the left overs. He made a pot pie of sorts with it. I will most definately keep your recipe in my box, thank you so much for posting!!!! :-)
