directions

  • Cut each onion into approximately 8 wedges.
  • Place wedges on a large sheet of aluminum foil.
  • Slice butter into dabs and place on top of the onion.
  • Add garlic, bouillon cube, and seasoning salt.
  • Wrap in foil paper ensuring that the seams are closed tightly. I usually wrap again with another sheet of foil.
  • Place foil package on the hot grill for 30 to 40 minutes, turning frequently.

  1. I made the onions one night with grilled hamburgers. The beef bouillion (I used granulated instead of cubed)and butter make the onions very flavorful. Preparation and cooking were a snap...I love cooking on the grill!

  2. Magic! Thank-you.

  3. Vidalia Heaven!! When it's raining outside, just bake them in the foil- I cooked mine at 350 for about 40 minutes. I also agree that the granules work perfectly. Thanks, from SC to GA!!!!

  4. If you like onions, try this!

  5. These are very, very good. It was a little chilly here today so I used an indoor grill and it worked perfectly (I sliced the onions rather than cutting into wedges). Thanks for sharing.

I Started cooking in order to avoid starvation in college. I am by no means a gourmet cook, but I do enjoy messing around in the kitchen.
