  1. Great recipe and wonderful taste. This was a great recipe for breaking in a new waffle iron. I cut the recipe in half and it was just as good. Thanks!

  2. Thanks for the recipe. I had never made waffles before so I decided to buy a waffle maker and give it a try. They were very easy and the kids and I all really enjoyed them.

  3. good, add some cocunut flakes for real fun!

  4. These are amazing. Soft and spongy, it tastes like a yummy soft cookie/cake. You can add ~1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra yumminess.

  5. Just commented and forgot to ask: is it baking soda or powder? I used powder and it worked great, but the 'steps' say to use baking soda.... Just checking!

Tweaks

  1. Great! I usually make the following adjustments: I am generally too lazy to separate the eggs. :) Substitute maple syrup for sugar. Sometimes substitute canola oil or coconut oil for butter.

  2. Got a waffle iron for Christmas, and tried this recipe. Big hit!!! I doubled the recipe as there are 8 of us but other than that didn't change anything. Love using butter instead of cooking oil, it gives a better taste.
