Warm Lobster Dip (Or Crabmeat, or Sea Legs, or Baby Shrimp)

"This is a pretty tasty recipe for warm lobster dip. Again, as in title, you could substitute with crabmeat, sea legs, or tiny baby shrimp if you like. I happen to mostly use my "leftover" lobster tail or claw meat when I make this. I have a great 1 qt. chafing server with a tea light beneath it that I usually prepare this in. Serve with pita chips, crackers, baguette slices, or vegetables. You can make this thicker or thinner depending on the amount of half & half and sour cream you use - prepare as you like."

  1. Thought this had a little too much Worcestershire sauce. Was looking for a dip that was more cheesy and smooth and creamy. Will probably eliminate the Worcestershire all together and change the cheese to fontina or a mild cheddar.

  2. Love, Love, Love.!!! Amazing lobster dip . Not a fan of Worcestershire so let that out. Made a great super bowl appetizer.

  3. This dip was amazing. I used 6 cloves of garlic and added some hot sauce. Served it with crostine toasts and crackers. Everyone loved it. It was gone in less than 10 minutes and there was only 5 people!!

  4. Found this yesterday morning on the main Zaar page under "Just Added" and figured I'd try it to make something different. Wanted something a little more "fancy" just for the heck of it. So off to the grocer I went & I ended up preparing this with "imitation crab meat" because they were out of sea legs. Anyway, this was definitely as described, it was warm, bubbly, tasty, actually, I thought it was decadent. Reminds you of spinach & artichoke dip from a restaurant, only instead of spinach, it was seafood. My husband really enjoyed it. We had it on toasted panini crackers. I will make this again for sure but mostly I will make sure this is a staple when I entertain... only made it on a Monday to try it out... TY so much! ***** stars from us!
