  1. These are lovely cookies, Sue! They came out nice and chewy, and the combination of add-in’s was perfect together. I’ve been trying to use up some pantry odds-n-ends lately, so I added about 3/4 cup of chopped dried Montmorency cherries that I soaked in hot water beforehand to soften them up. My cookies came out flatter than the ones in the photo, but I chalked that up to my forgetting to add the eggs and vanilla until after I had added the flour — yay, brain cramp! LOL, I was wondering why my dough had suddenly become sandy, more like a cookie crust than cookie dough, and then I looked over at the countertop and realized that the eggs and the bottle of vanilla were just sitting there staring at me. Added the two missing players, mixed the dough again, added the “kibbles and bits” and voila, back on track! I used my medium cookie scoop to portion these out, so I got about 3 1/2 dozen cookies total. I gave a dozen cookies to hubby’s employees, and another dozen to the guys at the Sunoco station who take care of hubby’s landscaping trucks, so lots of people are enjoying your cookies, haha! Thanks for posting! Made for SWT2018 Australia for Team Fellowship of the Stove

  2. Have saved this recipe for my outing with friends and family today. They are easy to make and absolutely delicious. I know they'll be a hit. The good thing is that this recipe makes enough cookies to give away and just enough to keep -- for me and DH. : ) Made for SWT 2018 - Australia.

  1. These cookies were delicious. I used butter flavor crisco in place of real butter, and they turned out perfect. Thanks for posting this recipe!!!
