  1. I used dried (powdered) cinnamon, omitted the almond extract (didn't have any), and used 1% milk. This was still great.

  2. Very delicious and rich. I took Kim's lead and used fat-free half and half and I thought it tasted wonderful. The cinnamon really adds to the flavor. Another fabulous hot drink to add to my growing collection. Thanks Christina.

  3. I loved this recipe. I no long have to go to Star Bucks because that's how good this was. I did only use 1 cup of half and half and 2 cups of milk. It is perfect. Thanks from Amie, Galveston TX

  4. The idea of drinking an entire cup of half and half disgusted me, so I too used milk with a few tablespoons thrown in. I only made enough for one person, and I noticed when I was adjusting the measurements that .60 servings actually makes a fairly large mug full. The white bits could easily be cut back on, so I will do that next time because there is a 2.5lb bag of white bits in the fridge and I am all too likely to make this many times. Awesome recipe.

  5. Mmmm! What a wonderful winter drink! All the flavors in this combine really well. The nutmeg and the vanilla chips go togethe surprisingly well. I didn't have a cinnamon stick-on hand, so I just added some ground cinnamon instead. Worked just fine. Instead of half and half, I used about 3/4 cup whole milk, and 1/4 cup cream. Very rich. I think this would be fine with whatever milk you drink normally in your household (hopefully you don't drink half-and-half! lol) or even soymilk. But if you want to indulge, that extra bit of cream is terrific. The almond extract added a great little subtle flavor, despite the small quanity. Rich, indulgent... the kind of drink that makes you want to put your feet up by the fireplace and watch the snowflakes fall outside. Great stuff.
