  1. I made this 3 times within 6 months and also made it for Thanksgiving. It's good every time. Great recipe. Thank you!

  2. Good recipe....but I added a few things that made it even better (according to my family's opinion that is). For the the regular sugar, I replaced with dark brown sugar. I added cinnamon, cloves, ginger and raisins. I have made it with pecans and with walnuts and they are both very tasty in this recipe. Yummmmmy....my family loves it!

  3. Delicious!!! I wasn't sure what to expect with this recipe... but it turned out fantastic. My husband and son just gobbled this up. I replaced sugar with splenda, other than that, I wouldn't change anything!

  4. Served this at Thanksgiving... my sister said "I have never liked yams before today." And she had seconds! Yum, and super easy! I followed the recipe exactly.

  5. Yummy! Very easy/quick and very tasty. I compared this to other recipes on 'Zaar and felt it had enough sugar. The Vanilla and pecans add a great dimension to the taste and the texture was phenomenal. Served it with a tuna mousse, spinach, tossed salad and whole wheat rolls. Thank you Rose for clear instructions and for a great side dish that we will definitely make again!

I recently moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to my children and grandchildren. I love to cook and bake especially since I can now cook Sunday dinners for my family.
