I am a 40something working married mother of 1 teenager. I love to cook but the weekly menu can get a bit boring. I work full time so spend my weekends cooking things that can be frozen for use during the week. I often fall into the trap of buying things I know how to cook and the weekly routine becomes just that. If it's chilli it must be tuesday, because we have the leftover rice on wednesday etc We are quite well travelled as a family and often bring cookbooks and ingredients back from our holidays abroad. We love france and most things french when it comes to food, although I am still a little squeamish about all things offal and find them very strong tasting. I am very lucky however to have a child who loves food, will try anything (foodwise) and also loves to cook. Don't ask her to peel potatoes though! always battling with my weight, I try to cook the lower fat varieties, but refuse to compromise on taste. I will not use artificial sweeteners, but try not to use refined sugar (except in icing).
