I cook a lot. With four boys, three of them teens, I've got to be able to put a lot of food on the table in a reasonable amount of time. I use a lot of recipes from Desperation Dinners- they are fast and well-seasoned. Joy of Cooking is still where I turn for basics, A New Way of Cooking is becoming a favorite, and Recipezaar is where I look for something new and interesting. My food philosophy is simple: I'd rather have a small amount of something that tastes spectacular, than a lot of something mediocre. Quality is always better than quantity!
