ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3⁄4 cup shortening
- 1 (1/4 ounce) dry yeast
- 2 cups buttermilk
directions
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Cut in shortening and dissolve yeast in 3 Tbsp's of warm water,add yeast and buttermilk; mixing well.
- Roll dough out on lightly floured surface. Cut with small biscuit cutter.
- Bake on greased sheet in preheated 400 for 12 minute or until golden brown.
