These are very good. Very important to cook them until just set and not browned. That's the difference between it being like a Cheryl's cookie and a regular sugar cookie. The icing is very nice but not exactly like Cheryl's. We found it a bit liquidy and difficult to work with, so maybe reducing the amount of milk? Another reviewer suggested adding powdered milk, I might try that. I Will tweak this in the future. I still rate these five out of five because they are excellent and I am addicted to them the way I am to Cheryl's cookies. Thank you for this recipe

Hello! So, I noticed on the back of the package, it said (and it’s what you are missing) there is dehydrated milk. I’m wondering if your frosting is off because the dehydrated milk is used in lieu of all the sugar. After attempting multiple variations for the frosting, this is the one idea I have not yet tried. All the frostings I have made were too sweet, so I considered using flour in place of some sugar. Then I reread the ingredients, and found this discrepancy. I will try it today when I bake my cookies, but I think it could be the issue you are having here! Maybe instead of milk, there is a small amount of water added to the butter, confectioners sugar, and dehydrated milk. ?? I admittedly have an extreme addiction to these cookies, and I will not stop until I have replicated them perfectly.
