  • Cover dry beans with water, leaving at least an inch of water over the top of the beans. Soak over night.
  • Drain and rinse beans. Return to crock pock with 12 cups water.
  • Saute chopped onion and diced garlic cloves in olive oil with salt and pepper until softened.
  • Add saute, chopped ham and two bay leaves to crock pot.
  • Cook on high for one hour. Cook on low for 7 hours.
  • Remove bay leaves and enjoy.
