  • Melt butter in saucepan, stir in flour, salt, mustard, and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk and onion and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in ham, eggs and peas. Pour into an 8 inch square ungreased baking dish. On a floured surface, roll pastry to fit top of dish; place over filling. Seal and flute edges; cut slits in the top. Bake at 425* for 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.

  1. It was really good, but the boring people in the house didn't like it. It was WAY too salty, so I'd recommend leaving the salt out and using unsalted butter and people can add salt afterward if they want. I doubled the recipe and expected to get two pies out of it, but it all fit in one, so double it if you want to feed everyone.
