- 3 1⁄2 cups self rising flour
- 2 1⁄4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1⁄4 teaspoons sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter, cold and cut into pieces
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
directions
- Combine first flour, baking powder and sugar.
- Cut in butter with a pastry blender until crumbly.
- Add milk and stir until dry ingredients are moist.
- Drop in desired size onto ungreased cookie sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Bake at 350 until golden, approximately 15-20 minutes.
- *can use buttermilk if you want to make buttermilk biscuits.
