- 1 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄2 cup cocoa, sifted
- 1⁄4 cup cornstarch
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup dark corn syrup
directions
- Measure first 6 ingredients into medium bowl.
- Stir.
- Make a well.
- Place egg whites, water, corn syrup in seperate medium bowl.
- Whisk to mix.
- Pour into well.
- Stir until smooth.
- Turn into greased 9x9 inch pan.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
