Glazed Chicken Drumsticks

"Since chicken breast seems to be getting more and more expensive I was looking for recipes for drumsticks. This one looked good, but I haven't tried it yet! This needs to marinate for at least 1 hour."

  1. Very good basic recipe. I baked the chicken the first time as stated and they were very good. The second time, I added 1/2 cup of apricot preserve and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and baked as directed. Both ways are delicious and easy

  2. It was delicious! I marinated it for about 24 hours, let it bake in the oven got tired of waiting because it smelled so good and decided to broil it instead! The sauce was delicious! Everything was great. I did sub the ginger and garlic for real ginger and garlic instead of the powder. And for the chili sauce I subbed red hot peppers :D

  3. Very easy and tasty, the family enjoyed this recipe. Used 1T ketchup with a shot of sriracha cause I had no chili sauce, and only 10 drumsticks. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  4. This has great flavor! It was very easy to make and my husband liked it too. I marinaded mine for about 6 hours in a ziploc bag, lined my pan and it was such an easy clean up as well! I'm watching my calories and this is a great recipe addition to our dinner menu!

  5. This was really good! I doubled the sauce and did it in the crock pot, starting with frozen drumsticks. It worked out great!

Tweaks

  1. Made this evening for supper. Turned out excellent! Crisp and yet juicy. I added some Cayenne Pepper for heat and subbed hot salsa for the chili sauce. Marinated for 2 hours. Cooked in a shallow aluminum foil pan. Added some potatoes and onions halfway thru the baking. Then had a side dish of Buffalo Wing hot sauce for dipping. I used only 6 pieces of the 18 pieces of drumsticks in the pack. Will bake the rest the same exact way next time. TFTR. This one is a keepter!
