- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 3⁄4 cup orange juice
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 6 -7 egg whites
directions
- Separate eggs. Beat whites until very stiff. Add cream of tartar. Beat yolks adding oil and orange juice.
- Mix together dry ingredients. Add yolk mixture to dry ingredients and beat. When mixed, fold in beaten egg whites.
- Pour into angel food cake pan. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Cool upside down.
