- 1 2⁄3 cups breadcrumbs, fresh
- 3⁄4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons basil, dry
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 16 ounces whole oysters (canned)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
directions
- Preheat oven to 400 deg.
- Combine bread crumbs, cheese, pepper, herbs, and garlic powder.
- Sprinkle a third of the mixture in a greased 2 quart casserole.
- Spread with the drained oysters, then top with remaining bread mixture.
- Combine in a small bowl the oil, wine and lemon juice.
- Pour evenly over the mixture in the casserole and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
