  1. Great tasting sandwich, even on white bread and without the pickle! Picked up some pastrami at the deli and found your recipe. I saute'd some onion in lieu of the pickle (didn't have any). Made 12-27-11. Thanks for posting I'mPat.

  2. Wonderful with recipe #471029. This fits my mouth deliciously perfect...sandwich-wise. Made for A-NZ#60.

  3. Pat, this is a real winner! I used a dark Russian rye and a German horseradish mustard since I did not have any Dijon. I also added extra mustard to the spread since we are not big fans of mayo. My daughter has requested I make these again this week! So, as you can see I will definitely be making again....and soon. Thanks for posting this wonderful keeper. Made and reviewed for the 49th AUS/NZ Recipe Swap.

  4. Yummy! A wonderful deli sandwich with out having to go out to the deli. Made using Dark Russian Rye and horseradish mustard as it is DH%u2019s favorite. Will be making again. Thanks so much for the post.

  5. A GREAT simple sammie! We love pastrami sandwiches...I have never put the pickles inside before... we liked it. My DBF used 1000 island dressing on his, but I did the mayo and mustard. Both were very yummy!

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
