2 cups
- Serves:
- 4-8
ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
- 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1 teaspoon dried chives
- 1 teaspoon instant minced garlic
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon sea salt or 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons white wine
directions
- Combine all of the dried spices. These can be stored for later use or used immediately.
- Mix together spices, softened cream cheese and wine until it is well incorporated and uniform.
- Stir in shredded cheese.
- Keep refrigerated until about 1/2 hour before serving. I recommend letting it rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the spices re-hydrate and the flavors to come out.
- If you have any left-overs they can be safely refrigerated and stored for up to a week or two in an air-tight container.

We made this for Black Friday, as ex-retail employees we stay home and enjoy not having to work. We absolutely loved this. I used 1 Tbs of Minced garlic, because we love garlic. We added some worcestershire sauce to a small amount we put aside at the request of my BF and it was very tastey too. We will be making this again (today actually...since we are stuck inside due to the weather.) Thanks so much Reeces.

When I made up the dry ingredients for this, I could already tell that it was something that we would like, so, I set out 8 small bowls and made it 8 times. I put it in those small plastic bags that are used for jewelry, wrote the directions for adding the wet ingredients and stapeled to the bag. I only have one left, so, I'll be making up another batch soon. We loved it with pita chips. Also, I used up a small amount that I had left over by spooning it over hot broccoli. Yum!!
