These were great for football Sunday! I ran out of ketchup, so I used half ketchup and half barbeque sauce. I also didn’t have whiskey, so I used Southern Comfort. I made twice the sauce and added in a pounds worth of prepackaged meatballs. I made it as you suggested and then put in a slow cooker on low to keep them warm during the game. With the leftover meatballs and sauce, I brought out some hoagies and made meatball subs. It was all so good! The only thing I might change for next time is to leave out about a fourth of the alcohol because it was a little overpowering for our taste. Great recipe, though. Thanks!

These were great!!! A big hit with all, quick to prepare, except for crock pot cook time. Next time, I am going to try this sauce with meatballs, and it might be good made in a larger quantity, and served with or over shredded chicken or beef!!! The possibilities are endless!!! Thanks for a "keeper" Patti10 !!!
