When Arby’s say that they “have the meats,” they’ve even sometimes got the flaky white meats that come from the sea. That’s right, it’s fish season at the meatiest meathouse in meatville, and this year, they’re hoping you like it hot.

This year, Arby’s will be offering their fishy, fast-foodified take on Nashville hot chicken, which they’re calling the “Nashville Hot Fish.” Hot chicken, which was created in Nashville at Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack (because credit is absolutely mandatory, so start planning your vacations), has become a hot-ticket item over the past year or two, with quick service restaurants eager to cash in on the trend.

The Arby’s Nashville Hot Fish is made with Alaskan Pollock that’s fried and then coated with a spicy mix of cayenne, paprika, salt and garlic powder. It comes slathered with peppery ranch sauce and has dill pickles and shredded lettuce on top. And to finish the sandwich off with a touch of customization, it can be ordered on a sesame bun, on a flatbread or on a Hawaiian bun.

“Arby’s guests love spicy food and have asked for more of it on our menu, so we’re constantly challenging the culinary team to add heat, but to do so in a way that allows our quality proteins to be the hero,” said Arby’s CMO Jim Taylor. “We’ve done just that with Nashville Hot Fish, which brings a popular spice trend and regional staple to Arby’s restaurants nationwide.”

The best part? Pair this fishwich with another of the restaurant’s seasonal fish options (including “Crispy Fish,” “Crispy Fish Flatbread” and “King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe”) and you’ll get both for just $5. The deal lasts until early April, so if you love meat, go forth and eat meat before it disappears. Or before a bird steals it right out of your mouth.
