The first leaves are beginning to change colors and excitement is brewing as reds, oranges and yellows become the colors of the day. Unless you’re a summer person, in which case Mother Nature is #sorrynotsorry. Seasonal excitement is not the only thing brewing, however; Starbucks has whipped up new drinks to celebrate subtly dropping temperatures and sweater weather.

Move over, Pumpkin Spice. According to a press release, Starbucks is introducing the Maple Pecan Latte in stores on Friday (September 22nd), the first official day of autumn. The flavored latte will be topped with a “colorful autumn topping” and will be available as the supplies (read: syrup) last.

Beginning Friday, the coffee shop behemoth will also be offering a new cold coffee drink, the Dark Mocha Frappuccino. It will be available in the US and Canada, and is described as combining “extra dark cocoa, coffee, milk and ice,” which is blended and topped with whipped cream. It remains to be seen if the Dark Mocha Frappuccino will have anything on the Orange Mocha Frappuccino. We think not.

After success this past spring with colored cups, the company will be releasing versions in plum, teal and orange, complete with a white frame for designs and drawings.

Will employees need another support group for these seasonal beverages? We’ll have to wait and see how tasty they are.
